Dense inky black in colour with a very deep dark red black hue. Potent black cherry, liquorice and black raspberry aromas are complexed by elements of leather, scorched earth, dried herbs and blackpepper. Rich and concentrated on the palate with a muscular framework, opulent black raspberry, liquorice and black cherry fruits are underpinned by scorched earth, dried herbs, some meatiness, subtle leather and spicy pepper.
Varietal: 85% Grenache, 9% Syrah and 4% Mourvedre, Counoise and other varieties
Style: Red – firm and robust
Aging: Natural yeast fermentation is completed in traditional, cement vats before aging an average of 24 months in old foudres
