The most common base ingredients are: Sweet Potato (Imo), Barley (Mugi), Rice (Kome), Buckwheat (Soba), Sugarcane (Kokuto), etc. The Imo Koji used here produced a more aromatic and fruitier Shochu compared to the usual rice (Kome) koji. Fruity and deep aroma.
